with a J.D in 1999. During her time at USD, she served as executive editor for the Law Review and worked extensively with the child advocacy clinic, helping teenagers to move towards independence and emancipation. She practiced law in the Long Beach area for several years while maintaining a rigorous teaching and tutoring schedule with The Princeton Review. When she had her first child, she decided to focus on the profession she most enjoyed, teaching.
Becky was a tutor with The Princeton Review from 1994 to 2014. Her years of experience have allowed her to understand not only the knowledge required and the nuances of standardized tests, but also to customize her tutorials to each student’s strengths and weaknesses. She believes in a three-prong approach to standardized testing; one that encompasses knowledge, testing techniques and focus.
Since 2014 Becky has used her skills to develop math curriculum for all levels of students. Whether she is teaching math, Science or test prep, Becky understands that each student is unique and she has approaches to help all types of students. She helps her students set goals, develop beneficial study habits and to better understand what is necessary to achieve their academic dreams.
In addition to her extensive teaching experience, Becky has two children a son attending U.C. Berkeley and a daughter, a national level diver who is a Junior in high school and actively searching for the right college fit. When she has a spare moment away from the classroom or the pool deck, she enjoys spending time on the beach and hiking in the local mountains.
